CASE STUDIES

Take a closer look at some of our clients and the work we have done with them.

Strategic Planning

In collaboration with a specialized hospital facing the challenges of a post-pandemic landscape, Brighton Group Health (BGH) undertook a comprehensive initiative to revitalize their Strategic Plan. The goal was to accurately capture the organization's current state and chart a course for its future endeavors. BGH collaborated closely with the hospital's leadership team, tailoring their approach to harmonize with the institution's unique culture and priorities.

Utilizing proven methodologies and drawing on successful practices from their experience with diverse clients, BGH ensured that their approach resonated with the distinct character of the organization. An extensive outreach effort unfolded, involving interviews with over 200 partners, ranging from clinicians and foundation board members to allied health professionals and hospital administrators. This process aimed to grasp the nuances of necessary changes to the existing Strategic Plan that would genuinely reflect the essence of the institution.

BGH extended its efforts globally, engaging with industry leaders to assimilate best practices and perspectives. Furthermore, an immersive in-person retreat was facilitated for the senior leadership, providing a platform for their insights and feedback on the strategic plan.

Informed by the wealth of feedback garnered through interviews, consultations, jurisdictional scans, and institutional data analysis, BGH collaborated with the client to craft a thoroughly refreshed Strategic Plan. This updated roadmap incorporated a new vision, thematic elements, revised priorities, and actionable deliverables. The result was a Strategic Plan that not only reflected the evolving trajectory of the hospital but also resonated with the aspirations and identity of the organization.

Business Case Development

A pioneering physician specializing in the treatment of a prevalent but intricate disease in Canada discovered a more cost-effective and streamlined method of care that was yet to be established in the country. Seeking guidance and support in implementing this innovative model in British Columbia, the physician approached Brighton Group Health (BGH) for assistance.

BGH initiated the process by delving into the evidence supporting the new model of care, identifying key partners critical to its implementation, and engaging in conversations with hospital administrators, operators, and clinicians. This approach aimed to comprehend the associated costs, navigate change management processes, and assess the feasibility of integrating the new approach. Collaborating closely with the physician, BGH crafted a risk mitigation strategy, conducted a thorough cost-benefit analysis, and aligned the initiative with the  overarching strategic priorities of the health system where the new solution would be piloted.

The culmination of this collaborative effort was the development of a robust Business Case and Pitch Deck. These tools were designed to empower the clinician to present the innovative idea to senior leadership, seeking both funding and approval for its implementation. The Business Case and Pitch Deck outlined the necessary resources, procedural requirements, and anticipated outcomes associated with adopting the new model of care. These documents served as a compelling and comprehensive framework for securing support and navigating the path toward successful implementation.
